Daintree Estates: Far North Queensland Trip!

Our chocolatiers in on a recent trip to tropical Far North Queensland in January visited one of the largest cocoa growing plantations in the Whyanbeel valley. As guests of Daintree Estates cocoa, they were given a warm welcome and a very informative, personalised guided tour by Gerard and Terese Puglisi whose family has been farming the estate for over 70 years. In addition to their farming activities Teresa and Gerard are now also providing Sweet Farm Tours - Australia's first Cocoa and Sugarcane Experience.


Our chocolatiers also visited the newly being established central processing facility for Daintree Estates Cocoa in the town of Mossman where they met the resident chocolatier Thibault who gave them a tour and an insight into the plans for the ongoing production of Australian Origin Chocolate.
